CFPPR Hosted the Academic Workshop “Resilient Exchanges”

As the İhsan Doğramacı Peace Foundation Center for Foreign Policy and Peace Research, we organized the academic workshop titled “Resilient Exchanges: Educational Mobility, Soft Power, and Public Diplomacy in Hard Times” in Ankara on 19–20 June 2026, in cooperation with the Turkish Fulbright Commission and the Hollings Center.

The workshop brought together academics, experts, and participants from various institutions in Türkiye and abroad around the themes of educational mobility, soft power, and public diplomacy. The panels and discussions held over the course of two days contributed to rethinking the role of academic and cultural exchange programs under changing global conditions and to strengthening mutual understanding between countries.

The opening remarks were delivered by our Center’s General Coordinator, Prof. Ersel Aydınlı, as well as Brian Stimmler, Acting Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Ankara, and Dr. Yasin Temizkan, Head of Department at the Deputy Directorate General for Cultural Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye.

We would like to thank the Turkish Fulbright Commission and the Hollings Center for their valuable cooperation in organizing this important event, as well as all speakers, panelists, and participants who enriched the workshop with their contributions.
